THE BACK STORY:
Katie and Lucien met on a St. Dominic Summer Trip in 2005. They started dating in the Summer of 2007 and the rest is history. Their adorable proposal has us swooning (and craving Ruth’s Chris). Lucien made reservations at Ruth’s Chris (the couple’s favorite) to celebrate Katie’s graduation from nursing school. She ordered the raspberry sorbet and in chocolate on the plate it said, “Will you marry me?” Lucien then pulled a box out of his pocket and got down on his knee.
Katie (of course) “YES!” and then they headed to Katie’s parents house to celebrate with friends and family.
Then the real fun began! They started planning the New Orleans wedding of their dreams!
THE BIG DAY:
The ceremony was held at St. Dominic Church at noon with the reception immediately following at The Cannery in Mid City! Guests used the hashtag #marryingmcgittigan on the big day!
